The complainant, presented under the pseudonym “Pauline”, accuses the singer of raping her in the Paris region in the 2000s. She claims that she was 16 years old at the time and worked as a model.
Her lawyer, Tristan Vieules-Augendre, confirmed that the complaint had been filed. He specified that his client did not wish to speak publicly at this stage. “The young woman we are assisting in this difficult process of filing a complaint does not wish to expose herself publicly at this stage and is reserving the account of the particularly serious events of which she says she was a victim for the judicial authorities, in whom she places her trust,” he stated.
Already indicted in several cases

This new complaint comes as Patrick Bruel has already been formally charged since June 10 in four separate cases. These proceedings concern alleged acts of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment.
According to the same source, at least five complaints of rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault have been filed against the singer since he was formally charged. They concern alleged incidents that took place between September 1992 and 2014.
The magistrates are also handling several reports of sexual violence which, at this stage, appear to be time-barred. Furthermore, Patrick Bruel has been granted the status of assisted witness in four other cases.
